World War 2

One of the days, Miss Sim shared with us a book about World War 2. During the war, the Japanese attacked Singapore and Singapore lost to the Japanese in a week which is 7 days. At that time, Japanese planes which were the Zero fighter planes were much faster then British warplanes. There were also two warships in the Naval Base in Singapore which were The Repulse and The Prince of Wales but they were destroyed by the Japanese. One of the reasons Singapore lost to Japan was because Japan was much bigger than Singapore.

It was a sad story but after the battle , the Japanese had to pay the price, in 1945, the Americans captured two Japanese islands Iwo Jima and Okinawa. Then USA bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki. On 15 August 1945, the Japanese surrendered to the Allied Forces at the end of World War 2. The POWs (prisoners or war) in Singapore had finally ended but there is still one question that cannot be answered but only in the future ' will there be any World War 3? '

The book is about a boy named Leo that has too much work to do and it has a lot of pictures. But one day, he opened the door and saw another Leo! But every time there was another Leo, there was more work to do. But then they decided to have another Leo to join them. Soon there was even more Leos! Now there were ten Leos but every time a new Leo comes there was even more work!

Now every single Leo had too much work. But one Leo want to sleep and now he was dreaming. When he awoke from his sleep, all the Leos were staring at him. They scolded the Leo who was dreaming. But when all the Leos were gone accept the real Leo, he said “I can do less but I can do my best” and that was the end of the story.
